Kilimanjaro Lemosho, To climb Mt. Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route is a rather newer option, one that quickly became popular once established.

Speaking not all of Lemosho is new. It is different from the Shira route.

The oldest route at Mount Kilimanjaro, The Marangu route, is nicknamed the “Tourist Route” or “Coca Cola Route“.
People used to say “of all routes up Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Marangu route is the easiest, cheapest and by far the most popular.”

Machame route means trekking in large groups.

Since budget operators knew Machame the traffic on the route has been ever-growing. It soon overtook the Marangu route as the most severely trafficked climb route on Mount Kilimanjaro.

The Umbwe Route is the least used, least crowded route on the mountain. For good reason, it is also the most difficult route on the Mountain. Umbwe is a steep, constant, straight climb to the top.
